Reggaeton is a popular music genre that emerged in the Caribbean in the late twentieth century, with strong roots in Puerto Rico and influences from reggae, dancehall, hip-hop, soca, and other Afro-Caribbean musical traditions. Don Reggaeton recreates several characteristic features of the style: the alternation between recitative-like phrases and repetitive pop melodies, supported by its unmistakable rhythmic groove and a distinctive harmonic progression. El reggaetón es un género musical popular que surgió en el Caribe a finales del siglo XX, con fuertes raíces en Puerto Rico y múltiples influencias del reggae, el dancehall, el hip-hop, la soca y otras músicas afrocaribeñas. Inicialmente difundido en discotecas y contextos urbanos juveniles, el género se consolidó como una poderosa expresión de identidad cultural, logrando una proyección global dentro de la industria musical.
